Youth America Grand Prix- BN Dancers Triumph!!!

We are extremely proud and excited for the group of our dancers who prepared  tirelessly for the very prestigious Youth America Grand Prix Ballet Competition in San Francisco, CA.  The girls also attended a special Ballet Workshop at San Francisco  Ballet School!  All of these events have been an excellent learning opportunity and experience for our dancers.

Congratulations on all your hard work and accomplishments!

We would like to congratulate the ensemble piece, We Are Not Alone, which placed fourth in the top 12 at YAGP! This piece was choreographed by Dance Master Mr. Dennis Wayne.

As a special treat we attended San Francisco Ballet production of Swan Lake!  It was a performance that will remain with the students always!

WORLD RENOWN FORMER PRINCIPAL DANCERS FOR THE JOFFREY BALLET AND AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE MAIA WILKINS AND MICHAEL LEVINE will be teaching April Weekend Workshops at Ballet Nevada (Grade IV Ballet and up)! They will also be teaching at our Sierra Summer Dance Intensive in July & August! Check out their bios!

Especially for Parents

Student Teaching Assistants-  We have begun a new program at the studio with training our advanced students to be teachers.  They have a program that they are required to follow and need 100 hours of class work to become a student teacher.  Please welcome them if they are in your childs class!

Class Observation- BN is asking parents to observe dance classes only when instructors allow (set weeks, please watch bulletin boards!). Friendly Reminder: the studios are QUIET ZONES, please no talking, no cell phones, no distractions.

Safety Precaution- In the evenings, please be sure to leave with a family member or call to request entry through the back door.  Your safety arriving & leaving BN is a top priority!

Please make sure your dancer has a cover-up on when entering and leaving the studio!

THE 2010 GREAT ISPAN DANCE TOUR OF COMMUNITY LIVING CENTERS!

Saturday, March 27th, Saturday, May 1st & Saturday, May 15th! We begin our Community Service project by dancing for Senior Super Stars at community living centers in the Reno/Sparks area! Check the Bulletin Boards about the performances.  We will be using dancers from every class level to entertain our Super Stars!  It is great fun and the audience loves to watch the dancers!

BNs 10th BIRTHDAY!

On MARCH 1ST we turned 10 YEARS OLD! March will be dedicated to celebrating (in addition to our everyday celebration of life)!  PLEASE feel free to bring cupcakes in for YOUR DANCERS Birthday- NO NUTS please!
